As the Fiji Nursing Association prepares to go on strike from midnight tomorrow, the Interim Prime Minister hopes that this is not the end of the road and good sense will prevail.
Bainimarama said Interim Public Service Minister, Poseci Bune is still available for dialogue to ensure that the unions understand the situation.
Bainimarama maintains that the interim regime cannot give into the demands of the Nursing Association and FICTU unions who want the 5 percent pay cut to be fully restored by next month, the partnership agreement to remain and the retirement age to remain at 60 years.
He also said that police and military personnel are ready to assist if the need arises.
Nurses Association General Secretary, Kuini Lutua will comment later today.
