The Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has hit out at the Tailevu chiefs, who, today rejected the interim government's proposal to review the Great Council of Chiefs
and the proposed People's Charter.
Bainimarama says that these Chiefs are full of venom and spite and that they are the very one's that have brought Fiji to its knees.
Bainimarama adds that the Charter does not include anyone's personal agenda and adds that the non-endorsement of the People's Charter by the Tailevu chiefs just shows that these chiefs see the Charter as a threat to their chiefly prowess.
