The Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama is currently in India and was paid a courtesy call by the Minister for External Affairs, Shri Pranab Mukherjee.

Bainimarama is expected to meet up with the Chief of Staff of the Indian Navy and visit the Apollo hospital which is committed to setting up a hospital in Lautoka.

Bainimarama will also visit two other hospitals and a large pharmaceutical company as part of the Interim Government's efforts to develop closer links in medicine with its Indian counterparts.

He has extended a deep gratitude on behalf of the interim government and people of Fiji to India for having offered a piece of land to build a Fiji Chancery in the hub of New Dehli.

He returns to the country this Friday.
