Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama today conveyed the nation's best wishes to the Digicel Fiji 7's team in the Wellington   and San Diego 7's tournaments.

Bainimarama believes that with these difficult times we are facing the players have made a lot of sacrifices to do their best in New Zealand.

He hopes a win for the Fiji team this weekend will be the best gift to this nation at this time when the country is trying to recover from the wrath of Cyclone Gene.

The Fiji team was officially welcomed in Wellington today following in a parade through the city.

Manager Opetaia Ravai said it was great for the side not to face any problems before the tournament starts tomorrow.
