Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama has arrived in the Tonga Capital Nuku'alofa for the Pacific Island Leaders Forum which officially starts tomorrow.
Accompanying Bainimarama are Permanent Secretary to the PM's Office, Parmesh Chand, Interim Attorney General, Aiyaz Saiyed Khaiyum and Interim Commerce Minister, Taito Waradi.
We cross over to our reporter Vijay Narayan in Nuku'alofa.
Meanwhile, New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark has indicated that she will not meet with Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama.
Radio New Zealand reports that a spokesperson for Clark has said the Prime Minister does not want to meet Commodore Bainimaram at the forum after Village news reported that he is willing to meet Clark while in Tonga.
It also reports that Bainimarama is expected meet face to face with Australian Foreign Minister Alexandra Downer who is representing his Prime Minister John Howard at the Forum.
