While in China to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, Interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama will also meet with Chinese investors, businesses and travel agents with the primary focus of promoting investment trade and tourism for Fiji.

Bainimarama is also scheduled to meet with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao for a courtesy call and discussions on matters of mutual and bilateral interest during his stay in Beijing.

Bainimarama will also travel to the South of China to visit an ethanol plant, a sugar mill manufacturing high quality paper waste to energy, a recycling plant and inspect low cost housing models prepared by Chinese companies that are interested in developing low cost housing in Fiji.

The Interim Prime Minister and the Fiji delegation which includes Interim Sports Minister Filipe Bole and senior government officials will return next Friday, the 15th.
