The Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama should give a reasonable timeline for elections to be held in Fiji.
These are words of the Coordinator for the Fiji Womens Crisis Centre, Shamima Ali who stresses that Pacific Leaders Forum should pressure the Interim Government to hold elections as soon as possible.
However, Ali adds that the Forum should think twice on expelling Fiji from the Forum.
The National Federation Party has raised concern that the Interim government has no intentions to hold general election soon.
General Secretary, Pramod Rae believes people will continue to suffer unless a democratic government is elected.
Meanwhile, Commodore Bainimarama has announced that it is very important to implement the People's Charter before the election
and it does not matter even if it takes 5 to 10 years.
