They had a genuine desire to engage with the interim government and they also expressed their views freely about their concerns and expectations.

Those were the words of interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama on the EU Troika mission and their meeting with his interim government members and himself.

Bainimarama said he was particularly pleased with their visit as it allowed him to discuss and share his views in a frank and constructive manner with the members of the mission.

He made these comments following a wrap up meeting yesterday afternoon which the EU Troika mission had with him at the end of their three day visit.

The interim Prime Minister said they were able to see and experience firsthand the accomplishments of the interim government in moving the country forward.

They have finished meeting with ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase, ousted leader of the Opposition Mick Beddoes, National Federation Party General Secretary Pramod Rae, Fiji Law Society President Isireli Fa and the former Commander for RFMF Col. Paul Manueli.
