Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama left for India today.

The PM's office confirms that the primary purpose of Bainimarama’s visit is to tour and inspect facilities at Batra Hospital in New Delhi, which provides critical care services to patients from the Fiji Military Forces, sent under the Military's insurance scheme for overseas treatment.

Commodore Bainimarama will also make courtesy calls on relevant dignitaries in New Delhi and meet with selected business people.

He returns next Friday and during his absence, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau is the Acting Prime Minister.
