Fiji's Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama and NZ Prime Minister, Helen Clark will both be at this year's Pacific Islands Leaders Forum.
Commodore Bainimarama had earlier revealed to Village News that he will attend the forum in Tonga and the Forum Secretary General, Greg Urwin has endorsed that Fiji can send who it wants.
Urwin told Pacific News that in previous forums, where the coup has been an issue, Fiji has still managed to send representatives.
But others are hoping that Fiji does not hog all of the headlines at the forum in October.
Tonga is this year's host nation and pro-democracy leader, Akilisi Pohiva, said he hopes regional powers, especially Australia and NZ, give Tonga's political woes the attention it deserves.
