The Interim Prime Minister has assured civil servants the Interim Government will ensure that the planned restructure in the Public Service will not see major job losses.
Addressing the various employers from around the country at the Fiji Employers Federation conference in Nadi last night, Commodore Frank Bainimarama said that the Interim Administration is looking at ways in which making the civil service size smaller will not mean that alot of people will lose their jobs.
However, Bainimarama added that if through the outsourcing process people are affected, guidelines will be followed to give preferential treatment to such department staff.
