Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama has agreed to assist Solomon Islands in setting up its new commission of inquiry to investigate various issues affecting the Pacific nation.

Radio Australia reports that during their bilateral talks in Vanuatu, Commodore Bainimarama agreed that his government will provide a lawyer to the Commission of Inquiry into land dealing and lost property on Guadalcanal.

Solomons Prime Minister, Derek Sikua had announced the setting up of the commission last week and he adds that Commodore Bainimarama told him that a Fijian will be available once the formalities and terms of reference are finalised by Honiara.
