Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has reiterated the need for good leadership as he addressed some 4000 people during consultations on the draft Peoples Charter at Churchill park in Lautoka this afternoon.
Bainimarama said we have failed to elect leaders who have the nation at heart and not just their own interests.
Bainimarama also questioned those in attendance on what ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase did to try and unite the nation. He also said it is also evident from those who oppose the Peoples charter that they are taking such a stance to protect their own needs.
Consultations continue at Churchill park with members of the public currently asking various questions on the contents of the draft Peoples Charter.
