Interim Education Minister, Netani Sukanaivalu said he will be discussing the High court ruling yesterday regarding the Fijian Teachers Association striking members' pay, with the Interim Prime Minister and the Interim Public Service Minister.

Sukainaivalu said he is preparing the paper before discussing it with the relevant minister and will issue a statement later.

He refused to comment when asked whether the ministry will appeal Justice Filimoni Jitoko's ruling adding only that he is yet to read the ruling.

Justice Jitoko ordered that the members of the Fijian Teachers Association are entitled to be paid for the two weeks school break after the interim government announced earlier that those teachers who went on strike would not be paid.
