Fijian Holdings Limited's Managing Director, Sereana Qoro has today stressed that the interim Fijian Affairs Minister has the legal powers to appoint members of the FHL Board at anytime.
During a briefing this morning, Qoro clarified that there were no terminations of former board members however amicable agreements were made by both parties for some board members to resign.
Qoro added that the Fijian Affairs Board has 63% shares which give the interim minister powers to make changes to the Board. She also says the FHL Chairman Isoa Kaloumaira is the longest serving member of the board and she has also been with Fijian Holdings for over nine years.
The Managing Director for FHL also confirmed that there was no investigation done by FICAC before the resignation of the board members.
