The Minister responsible for trade disputes, the Interim Labour Minister, Bernadette Rounds Ganilau is tightlipped before an Interim Cabinet decision is made on Tuesday, with regards to the Fiji Nursing Association's Memorandum of Understanding in its last bid to avert a nationwide strike.

FNA General Secretary had earlier confirmed that a nationwide strike is still imminent if an unsatisfactory decision is reached by the Interim Cabinet next week.

Permanent Secretary for Public Service, Taina Tagicakibau had said that the FNA should just wait for the decision.

After the meeting with Interim Public Service Minister, Poseci Bune on two occasions yesterday, no solution was found to try and avert the looming strike.

The Nurses are expected to go on strike at midnight next Tuesday.
