Interim Public Utilities Minister Jone Navakamocea
The Interim Public Utilities Minister is expected to meet with the officials of the Department of Water and Sewerage this morning to look at ways to resolve the water problems in the Suva/Nausori corridor.
Jone Navakamocea has revealed that water levels at the Savura Dam have now reached a critical stage and they will be discussing alternative ways today to refill the dam.
He added that the low water level at Savura and problems at the Waimanu Pumping Station has caused water cuts in Tuirara, Makoi, Tovata, Valelevu, New Town, Tacirua East, Upper Caubati, Cunningham and Upper Khalsa Road.
