The interim government continues to face difficulties in appointing a commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.

Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum told Village News that several suitable candidates for the post want to assist Fiji but remain reluctant due to the travel bans in place against those who are appointed by the interim government.

Sayed Khaiyum said while they continue to search for a commissioner, the interim government has full confidence in Deputy FICAC Commissioner Lieutenant Colonel Wesley Langman to carry out the task ahead with or without a commissioner.
