Interim Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum will now look into the recommendations made by the Constitutional Officers Commission on who should be appointed as the new Supervisor of Elections.
PSC's Chairman Rishi Ram confirms they have finished with the interviews of the applicants and the final decision lies with the Interim AG.
Ram also confirms they received only a handful of applications for this post.
The Supervisor of Elections post became vacant when the Interim Government terminated the contract of Semesa Karavaki earlier this year.
