The Interim Attorney General has today called on critics of the Mahendra Chaudhry inquiry to stop the political point scoring by calling on the Interim Finance Minister to resign.
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum stresses that Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama is the Acting Interim Finance Minister and there will be no interference by anyone in relation to the inquiry.
He said people should also understand that the former SDL Minister, George Shiu Raj stepped aside as he was facing criminal charges and in this case there are no charges against Chaudhry.
Sayed-Khaiyum said politicians like Laisenia Qarase, Mick Beddoes and Pramod Rae are known for criticizing any decisions made by the interim administration.
