Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the Fiji Law Society should not be selective about peoples' rights after Suva lawyer Graham Leung was barred from leaving Fiji again this morning.
Although Sayed Khaiyum said the directive came from the Home Affairs Ministry to impose a travel ban on Leung, the Law Society should also consider the plight of a number of people who are banned from travelling to Australia and NZ.
However, Vice President of the Fiji Law Society Tupou Draunidalo who was at the Nadi Airport this morning questions the reasons behind placing people on the travel watchlist.
Sayed-Khaiyum said the issue of the legality of the interim government is currently before the courts and Draunidalo should stop making a judgment already.
