There will be some interesting matches during the pool games of the Red Rock 7s tournament this weekend.
However, some of the top teams are not expected to reach the Cup quarterfinals as only the top eight teams from each pool will go through.
Tournament Co-ordinator Malakai Yamaivava said there will be no eliminations and some top teams are in the same pool meaning only one will go through.
Red Rock One with Waisake Raselala and Eroni Sau is pooled with Sakiusa Gavidi and Viliame Mata’s Hideaway Hurricanes.
Nasoni Roko’s Tabadamu side will meet Wardens Green in pool play and Marist One have Suva Stallions and Marist 7s underdogs Newborn Waibasaga in their pool.
John Stewart and his Army team is pooled with First Landing Resort, commonly known as Tale Babas.
Marist 7s champions Wardens Gold will face Vanua Levu giants Nasolo Young Boys in pool play.
The Red Rock 7s will start this Friday at Ratu Cakobau Park.
