The Citizens Constitutional Forum believes that the 5th December takeover of last year, led by Army Commander Commodore Frank Bainimarama has achieved something by highlighting issues such as corruption and the recommended changes in the electoral process.
CCF Executive Director Reverand Akuila Yabaki believes some of the issues need to be resolved as soon as possible.
Rev Yabaki also believes that there is a need to change the composition of the military to increase the number of people from other races in the institution.
Meanwhile, Fiji Human Rights Commissioner and Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Coordinator, Shamima Ali said one year has gone since the day of the takeover and nothing good has come about.
Ali maintains that as much as the interim regime said that all is well, it is quite the contrary.
Ali maintains that after one year, people are still scared to speak out against the military and the interim administration as the military moved in fast, post December 5th, and scared people by the barrel of a gun.
She is adamant in her view that the military must return to the camp at all costs.
