An Independent inquiry by the Fiji Electricity Authority is underway to establish how three people died this year after touching live wires.

FEA Chief Exeuctive, Sunil De Silva confirmed to Fiji Village News that a team has been assigned to carry out an independent investigation following the death of a 55 year old villager of Korovutu, Nadi yesterday afternoon.

Sunil-De-Silva has also raised concern that despite several warnings by FEA to treat every wire as live, people are still touching them.

He has called on the people to report to FEA if they see any broken power lines.
