Inmates from the Korovou Prison are trying to take advantage of the festive season to show their remorse and turn to members of the public as they seek to rehabilitate themselves.

Around 26 inmates, some who are serving life sentences for various offences were today escorted around Suva and they visited the home of Fijivillage in Waimanu road to sing hymns and Christmas corals.

Nemani Ligadua, a prison officer said this is part of the Prison Departments initiative as convicts can change their behavior and attitude through rehabilitation.
