A slight injury cloud hangs over flanker Malakai Ravulo ahead of the Flying Fijians departure for Europe next week.

It is understood that Ravulo was concussed during his side's match against Taranaki last Saturday.

The FRU was alerted to the incident through an email sent across to Rugby House by North Harbour team doctor Ben Jansen.

High Performance Unit manager Talemo Waqa admits the FRU had no idea that Ravulo had been concussed and the news took them by surprise, which means he will be rested for the next two weeks to ensure full recovery.

The Flying Fijians depart Fiji for France next Friday, and their first game is against France on November 14.
