The clock is ticking for injured Crusaders players, Dan Carter and Israel Dagg ahead of the Super Rugby blockbuster against the Chiefs in Hamilton on Saturday night.
Five‑eighth Carter has not played since injuring his lower right leg in the opening round while fullback Dagg had to be replaced late in the first half of the 26‑20 win over the Highlanders last weekend because of a sore thigh muscle.
Carter did not participate fully in yesterday afternoons training and allowed Colin Slade to run at first‑five.
Dagg, who had his left thigh strapped, didn't participate at all. Tom Taylor ran at fullback for much of the session.
Crusaders assistant coach Tabai Matson says it is too soon to confirm whether the two All Blacks would be available to play the Chiefs.
The Crusaders will meet the Chiefs at 6.35pm this Saturday.
