The Digicel Fiji 7s team has an injury concern over Captain Emosi Vucago ahead of their quarter final match this afternoon against Australia.

Team Manager Jope Tuivanuavou said Vucago is limping around with a groin injury however, he added that “Mosi” is a small man with a big heart and they are trying all means to get him back on the field.

Tuivanuavou added the players were given an opportunity this morning to call their loved ones back home, something they believe will at least boost their morale before the quarterfinals.

The boys went through a thorough pool session this morning, gearing themselves up for the crucial quarterfinals match against Australia this afternoon.

Tuivanuavou said that the boys can vividly remember how they lost out to Australia in the quarterfinals in Las Vegas and are ready to turn the tables around this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Australia 7s captain Paul McCutcheon said that Fiji looks promising after their pool game against Kenya and they look forward to repeat their performance from Las Vegas.

Fiji meets Australia in the second quarterfinal at 2:58pm.

New Zealand will meet Samoa in the first Cup quarterfinal at 2:36pm, Wales meets USA at 3:20pm and South Africa meets Argentina at 3:42pm.

The first semifinal is at 6:26pm and the finals of the Australia 7s will kick off at 8:50pm.
