World number three Vijay Singh is set to miss at least two months of action with an arm injury.

The 45-year-old has tendinitis in his left forearm and will miss two events.

Singh who became the first ever Fijian on Monday to win the FedEx Cup and the 10-million-US dollars, has been ruled out of the Iskandar Johor Open, which starts on 30th October in Malaysia and the Champions Tournament in Shanghai the following week.

Singh said he's very disappointed with the injury but it's important to follow his doctor's instructions and do what is best for his long-term health.

The three time major winner has won three US PGA Tour events this year, taking his career total to 34.
