The Immigration Department is putting in place a number of initiatives to try and attract more students and their families to come to Fiji to educate their children.
Speaking at the Prime Minister’s Mini Economic Summit, Director Immigration Commander Viliame Naupoto revealed that more people are choosing to come and study in Fiji.
He said they are now offering permits to family members of students who chose to come and study in Fiji which in turn will contribute towards growing the economy.
Naupoto stressed that this is a market which must be developed as Fiji has the potential to compete against our larger neighbours in this area.
