The initial damage assessment in relation to the flooding over the past few days stands at $14.8 million.

This figure does not include agricultural and road assessments for the worst hit area, the Western Division.

DISMAC said $5.7 million worth of damages have been reported in the Northern division, $6.36 million for the Central division and $2.7 million for the Western division.

However, the damage cost is expected to increase significantly after the agricultural and road assessments for the West.
