The chairman of Tourism Fiji said the need to develop infrastructure is vital if we want to attract more tourists to Fiji.
Patrick Wong was reacting to comments made by general manager West Inn/Sheraton Group Fiji Shane Cunning at the Fiji Institute of Accountants Congress during the weekend who highlighted certain issues that Fiji needs to focus on for the future of tourism in Fiji, and one of which was to develop infrastructure which needs to match tourist expectations.
Wong said it is important that Fiji must be able to satisfy the demands and expectations of tourists.
Shane Cunning had also highlighted that Fiji must also be proactive and well prepared for seasonal impacts such as natural disasters, while there needs to be flexible public relations promotions to overcome adverse events, political or natural.
