The proposed National Council for Building a Better Fiji should be chaired by an independent person.
This is the view of Citizens Constitutional Forum Chief Executive Officer, Rev Akuila Yabaki who adds that this consultative process must be made worthwhile with all stakeholders taking an active part.
Yabaki stresses that the person chosen must be impartial.
The CCF in a statement said that this independence feature must not be downplayed.
