Nadi Housewife Raped At Knifepoint
Police are questioning a 29 year old man of Nadi for allegedly raping a 32 year old woman inside her home at a knifepoint early yesterday morning.
The victim was sleeping with her 11 month old son when the man who was under the influence of liquor entered the house after removing the louver blades. He then allegedly threatened the woman with a knife and raped her.
The victim raised alarm and neighbors came to her rescue.
The suspect fled however, he was arrested few hours later. He is expected to be charged later today. The victim’s husband was away visiting relatives at the time.

Girl Raped, 3 Months Pregnant
Police confirmed they are expected to arrest a 30-year-old man from Kioa Island soon, who is alleged to have raped a 14-year-old girl three months ago. Police say the man, who is a relative of the girl is alleged to have raped the girl several times on different days in his village.
Police said the girl is now three months pregnant.

33 Year Old Raped In Labasa
Police are also looking for a 45-year-old man who is alleged to have raped a 30-year-old woman from a settlement in Labasa, from Monday to Wednesday last week.
Police confirmed, the woman who was living with her two children in a housing settlement, was forcefully taken by this man to his home.
It is alleged the man kept the woman in his house for three days and raped her during that time. The victim managed to escape on Thursday and report the matter to police.
Police said they have the identity of the man and he is expected to be arrested soon.
And In light of the increasing number of sexual assault and rape cases, Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Coordinator Shameema Ali stresses that we can do something to put an end to such crimes.
Ali reiterates that respect between girls and boys, men and women needs to start from home.
Ali adds everyone needs to help in this cause and we have to stop covering up for the perpetrators.
