There has been an increase in the number of sexual related cases however figures also show that there has been a decrease in robbery with violence cases.
Police figures show that rape and attempted rape cases figures for the first three months for 2008 was 29 which has increased to 39 this year.
In 2008 defilement cases were 27 for the first three months which has increased to 31 for this year.
Meanwhile, according to the figures by Police, there has been a decrease in the number of robbery with violence cases for the first three months.
In 2008, robbery with violence cases was 176 compared to 118 this year.
