The Nausori Health Centre while screening people for Non-Communicable Diseases whole of this week came across alot of people suffering from Diabetes and High Blood Pressure.
Centre's Sub divisional Medical officer, Doctor John Okoro said that due to the eating habits and no control over the diseases, more Fijian patients have had their legs amputated due to diabetes.
Meanwhile the Nausori Health Centre is organising free check-ups for people at RB Southpoint and at the Health Centre tomorrow from 8am to 1pm.
Dr John said the check-ups conducted whole of this week has proved very successful.
