There has been an increase in defilement cases this year.
Statistics show that 13 defilement cases have been reported for the first two months this year compared to last year.
Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said this is a worrying trend and police will strive to help decrease the number.
Statistics also show that there has been an increase in indecent assault cases which for the first two months stand at 43 compared to 15 last year.
Reported rape case now stands at 22.
