The Bureau of Statistics reveals that there was a 29.6 percent increase in the number of passengers carried by the local airlines for international flights for the third quarter last year.
The reports states that compared to previous quarter when the total number of passengers carried was 142,101, there was an improvement in the numbers for the third quarter which was 184,086.
For domestic flights the total number of passengers carried for the third quarter was 52,830 compared to previous quarter which was 44,305.This was an increase by 19.2 percent.
