With Christmas just around the corner the Suva Retailers Association has noticed an increase in consumer spending.
Association President, Himmat Lodhia said more people have been coming into the city and are spending more compared to the Diwali season earlier this year.
Lodhia said the increase in consumer shopping, which has been good for business, could be due to the civil servants getting their 5% pay restoration.
