The Group discussion on Sugar at the Food Sympossium highlighted the need to provide incentive packages to the farmers to help growth in the Agriculture sector.
Group Chairman and University Academic Dr Rohit Kishore said the farmers who have gone away must be assisted in their resettlement.
Dr Kishore said they also recommend that the size of small farms should be made bigger.
