In-service teacher training will continue throughout the term.
Permanent secretary for the Ministry of Education Filipe Jitoko said that with the over 700 teachers retiring, the new intakes will continue with their training.
According to Jitoko, the moving up of teachers to take over these vacant posts is nothing new however for those that are entering the work force, training needs to continue.
A total of 776 teachers from a total of 414 schools retired last month with 21 in administrable posts re-hired until the end of the year.
School will be starting next week Tuesday.
