Digicel Fiji Sevens coach Iliesa Tanivula said that if his team has to retain their title again in Edinburgh this year, they will have to improve on their defense and attack.
Tanivula said that these are two of the major weaknesses that the team encountered last week in London.
Meanwhile, New Zealand Sevens coach Gordon Teitjens knows that this year's competition winner is still to be decided.
Unlike the past years, the winner was already confirmed, however this year it is down to the wire, an added challenge for the team.
South Africa coach Paul Treu said their performance has not been consistent this time round as a lot of replacements has been made to the side.
However, Treu is determined his side will put up a good show in Edinburgh.
Samoa and Kenya play the first game at the Scotland Sevens at 8:35pm on Saturday.
Fiji meets Scotland in their first pool game at 11:09pm.
Fiji is the defending champion of the tournament.
