Steps need to be taken to improve Fiji’s food standards so that it is not used as a food dumping ground by others.
Those were sentiments of Consumers International Head for Asia Pacific and the Middle East, Indrani Thuraisingham who stressed at the symposium on consumerism and market economies today that Fiji needs to fight with other developing countries to put more standards in our market.
Meanwhile, EU Head of Delegation for the Pacific Wiepke Van Der Goot while marking the 50th anniversary of consumer’s International day today highlighted that consumer rights form an integral part of the economic, social and cultural rights.
