“Improve local rugby.”
Those were the comments of former Flying Fijians coach Brad Johnstone as Fiji closed the curtains on yet another disappointing year.
In comparing the standard of rugby with our Pacific island neighbors Samoa and Tonga, Johnstone said Fiji is too far away from the modern trend of Rugby.
Johnstone adds the Fiji Rugby union should coordinate plans to properly develop our local players.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Rugby Union earlier announced 80 local players to prepare for the Pacific Rugby Championship next year.
