Prices and Incomes Board has confirmed that the prices of imported powdered milk is expected to increase soon.
PIB secretary Ane Naulivou said major drought has hit Australia and New Zealand who are biggest exporters of dairy products throughout the world. She also said that China has also entered the dairy market.
She added that this has reflected world dairy product prices.
According to Naulivou the local importers will decide later when the prices of powdered milk will increase.
Rewa Dairy is expected to comment later.
