The Agriculture Ministry is hoping to have the first product of it's import substitution program by September.
Permanent Secretary Colonel Mason Smith said their import substitution program is well underway with farmers now focused on planting more crops which Fiji imports.
Col. Smith said the pilot potato farming project is set to be harvested by September.
Government has allocated $2 million to the Import Substitution Program.
