The Immigration Director charged with careless driving was today acquitted by the Suva Magistrate Court.
The court heard that on October 8th last year, Viliame Naupoto was driving his vehicle along Ratu Mara Road without due care and attention.
The court stated that the complainant gave inconsistent evidence in court and the prosecution failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.
Naupoto was then acquitted.
