I’m back for Fiji
These are words of Digicel Fiji 7s team rover Lepani Nabuliwaqa who has been recalled to the squad after a lapse of a year.
Coming back for the Fiji 7s team are Nabuliwaqa, William Ryder and Setefano Cakau.
Meanwhile, Coach Iliesa Tanivula has opted for experience in the opening IRB 7s series in Dubai and South Africa to boost Fiji's chances of winning the overall title.
Fiji has failed to win in Dubai in the past 8 years and their best finish was in 2007 where they lost to New Zealand in the final.
Tanivula said the return of players like Nabuliwaqa, Ryder, Vima Tuidraki and Setefano Cakau add a lot of depth and experience in the side.
Nadroga halfback, Emosi Vucago has been named captain and will be assisted by Jerry Burotu.
The other members of the team include Pio Tuwai, Watisoni Votu, Apisai Nayabo, Jiuta Lutumailagi, Osea Kolinisau, Niumaia Rokobuli, Vima Tuidraki, Lepani Nabuliwaqa, Setefano Cakau and William Ryder.
The non-travelling reserves include Josefa Bole, Joeli Lutumailagi and Turuva Lumelume. The opening IRB 7's series will kick-off on the 4th of next month in Dubai.
