Former national 15's rugby coach Ifereimi Tawake will return to Lawaqa Park on Saturday with his Northern Sharks franchise team eyeing to cause an upset against the Stallions.

Tawake who is originally from Macuata has made a lot of changes in the Sharks team this season as they are 4th in the points table and a win this week will earn them a semi-final spot.

The former number 8 is not a stranger to the Stallions team as he was the coach of the side that first won the Colonial Cup in 2004 and he is familiar face to the rugby fans in the crazy rugby province of Nadroga/Navosa which made up the Stallions team as he was the captain of the side in the 90's.

The Northern Sharks is made up of players from the province of Cakaudrove, Bua and Macuata but this season Tawake has brought in players from the 3 province who are playing in the Nadroga, Nadi, Suva and Naitasiri team to boost their chances.

This weekend’s Colonial Cup on Friday afternoon at Ratu Cakobau Park the Knights host the Highlanders at 5pm and a live commentary can be heard on our sister Radio Station Viti FM.

On Saturday at 3pm at Lawaqa Park the Stallions face the Sharks while at Churchill Park Crusaders takes on the Roosters.
