The International Rugby Board has confirmed what everyone thought   the first yellow card to Bismarck du Plessis in the All Blacks win over South Africa at Eden Park was incorrectly dished out.

The IRB released a statement saying referee Romain Poite and the other match officials have fully recognised and accept they made a mistake.

The IRB says all match official performances are thoroughly reviewed and assessed and considered when appointments are made for future tests.

Meanwhile, Daniel Carter's competition ending shoulder injury means the All Blacks are preparing for life once again without their premier first five.

The Rugby Championship takes a break this week, before the All Blacks head to Argentina.
